Barcelona are willing to pay almost €2m to sign 18-year-old Malaga starlet Antonio Cordero.
Radio Marca reported on Tuesday that Barcelona have made progress in their attempts to sign Antonio Cordero, planning to offer an initial €1.8m, potentially rising to €4m, to Malaga in order to sign the 18-year-old winger in January.
Cordero has impressed this season, catching the eye of Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Malaga are trying to convince the player to sign a new contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.
However, Cordero has rejected a new offer from the club as the 18-year-old winger seeks a new challenge, so Malaga will have to look to sell the player in January for a part of the fee rather than losing the young winger on a free transfer next summer.
Barcelona are reportedly Register ufabet favourites to sign Cordero over Real Madrid. With the Blaugrana reportedly willing to pay an initial €1.8m to sign the player in January, with the fee potentially rising to €4m depending on the terms and conditions of the deal.
A key factor in Cordero’s chances of moving to Barcelona in January is that the 18-year-old winger has Pini Zahavi, who is close to Joan Laporta, looking after the player’s interests.
